Kinesiology (muscle testing)
Kinesiology is a muscle response test; this is the ability to hold a muscle against light pressure. The kinesiologist tests a series of muscles which highlights any imbalances and stresses in the body which can be:
-
Structure- muscles, bones, joints and posture
-
Biochemistry – water, food, what’s in and on your body
-
Emotions – your thoughts, feelings, fears and phobias
-
Energy – the invisible force of nature that is in and all around us
What happens during a session?

To start with, an initial discussion to your health status and from the information received, the muscle testing can begin.
During a session the kinesiologist will place the client’s arm or leg into a specific position and will apply a light pressure against the muscle that is being tested while the client is asked to match the pressure. The muscle will test either strong or weak based on the nervous system control of the muscle, responding similar way to a switch. The responses will provide information about the imbalances and stresses in the body. No pain or discomfort should be experienced by client with the testing. It’s a relaxing and non- invasive therapy which can help people of all ages.
A kinesiologist does not diagnose or treat, instead work with the client to explore how to bring the body back into balance. This may involve massaging specific points, recommendation of any nutritional supplements, lifestyle changes, foods to remove or cut down, flower essences and more.
This therapy is helpful for those seeking relief from a range of symptoms and to ease emotional, physical or mental stress.
